On Wednesday the 28th of March we found out that we had WON the Car Competition with Brother Electrical and Classic Hits Northland. On Friday the 30th of March we met at the Classic Hits Radio Station where we had photographers taking our photos for the paper, were interviewed twice on the the radio, were filmed by the media (to be on the news!) and of course... to climb into our Rally Cars and get dropped to school. To win this prize we had to decorate a Rally Car Cut Out with recycled things. Our car looked awesome, and Miss Keogh thinks we did a wonderful job - especially considering the amount of time we had to do it! When we drove through town everybody looked at us and we felt proud! The cars made so much noise... but don't trust us, see for yourself (have a look at our videos). When we arrived at school we were greeted by the whole school waiting on the courts for us. Everybody loved looking in the cars, getting autographs, and watching us enjoy our prize. We had SUCH a fantastic time! We also won 2 colour printers for our school (thanks Brother!). We LOVE being in the best class in the world (Room 9), and we LOVE K.I.S (best intermediate in the world) - it is definitely the land of opportunities! What an awesome day!
